Counterparties
A counterparty refers to any entity or individual that is involved in a financial transaction with a user. This could include merchants, service providers, or any other party that a user interacts with financially. Counterparties are identified and categorised to help users better understand and manage their financial activities.
Our categorisation engine automatically detects counterparties when processing transactions by analysing transaction descriptions and any other relevant information.
If detected, counterparty IDs (and optionally full details if using the denormalised response option) will be returned with transactions and regular transaction series.
